El Segundo, California

Welcome to the El Segundo website for nursing home neglect attorneys at the Yeroushalmi Law. This webpage has been created for informational purposes. Based on our experience with elder abuse litigation, nursing home neglect unfortunately occurs more often than most people are aware. We hope that this page will inform you about the egregious neglect that is far too common in so many skilled nursing facilities today.

The city of El Segundo was incorporated on January 18, 1917. It is located in the Santa Monica Bay and features a beautiful stretch of beach. Like many other cities in Los Angeles County, El Segundo was originally settled by the Tongva Indians. In 1911, Standard Oil Company of California purchased a large piece of land within the city. The city's name, which means "the second" in Spanish, signified that the city was the second in California to provide a site for the company's oil refinery. Today, the refinery continues to operate under the name of Chevron. The city's population was recorded to be 16,654 people at the 2010 census. Although there are no skilled nursing facilities in El Segundo, you can search this website for one convenient to you.

No matter how far you have to go, even the finest skilled nursing facilities have problems. When those problems exceed legal boundaries, we at Yeroushalmi Law are here to help you. At least half of all nursing home residents suffer urinary or bowel incontinence. This is an embarrassing, uncomfortable and ultimately expensive problem that is all too prevalent among residents of skilled nursing facilities. This loss of bladder or bowel control can have a wide range of causes and, like any symptom, must be carefully assessed, diagnosed and treated by a qualified physician. While incontinence can lead to some physical complications such as pressure sores, infections, and skin irritations, this unfortunate condition also has a negative effect on the resident's mental health. Because patients must rely on nursing staff for their toilet and hygiene care, they often feel degraded. Adequate staffing is absolutely necessary to ensure that your loved one receives not only the proper treatment, but also plenty of encouragement and support so that his or her dignity is maintained.

If you are or have been a victim of elder abuse or nursing home neglect, or you suspect your loved one has been subjected to such abuses in a nursing home, please take action and join us in our fight against elder abuse. He explained the complete case process (as I had never filed a case with anyone) Ben kept my sister and I notified of every email or correspondence he had with the opposing council. Gloria

I had a heartfelt and memorable experience with Ben , very genuine and I can tell he loves what he does. His determination shows beautifully and it is amazing. In my opinion it is very rare you find people who love what they're doing and it shows. Not wanting to get religious on an review but, God introduced me to Ben for a reason. Summer

Ben was wonderful. He took our case when no one else was interested or wanted way to much money. We would highly recommend Ben because he really listens and takes your situation into consideration. We settled our case and we were only unhappy with one thing and that was the confidentiality clause but that was not Ben's fault it came with the deal. June
