Beautiful Manhattan Beach lies in southwestern Los Angeles along the Pacific coastline. As a prominent beach community, it is known for hosting many major surfing and beach volleyball competitions. Additionally, it is the choice of home to many professional athletes and entertainment figures due to its close proximity to Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles as well as sitting on a waterfront and having a youthful culture. An affluent community, Manhattan Beach also has the 3rd best performing school district in California. Manhattan Beach is a popular filming location for many movies and TV shows, including The O.C., CSI: Miami, Hannah Montana, and Weeds. Although Manhattan Beach contains no nursing homes, there are some in the nearby cities of Torrance and Hawthorne.
A major problem in nursing homes is pressure ulcers, also known as decubitus ulcers. Commonly referred to as bedsores, they arise when blood is cut off to certain parts of the body due to prolonged external pressure. Older people are especially susceptible to developing pressure ulcers especially if they are placed in a certain position for too long without movement. Once formed, pressure ulcers take anywhere from weeks to months to heal. There are four stages of pressure ulcers, ranging from redness to sores and skin breakdown that could extend all the way through muscle, tendon, and bone. In nursing homes, bedridden residents are at high risk of developing bedsores since they cannot move without assistance. It is the job of nursing home staff to routinely monitor patients for pressure ulcers and ensure that they are adjusting positions regularly, and assist them if necessary.
Pressure ulcers, if left untreated, can lead to infection, severe damage to the body, and even death. Although more difficult to treat, pressure ulcers are very easy to prevent. They are often overlooked, however, because they mostly develop on the back of the legs and torso of a bedridden patient. All skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes must uphold a standard of care to ensure that pressure ulcers do not occur. If you or a loved one has suffered a pressure sore while residing in a nursing home, please contact us for a free consultation. You may be a victim of nursing home neglect, and we are here to protect your rights and ensure you receive the quality of treatment you deserve.

Ben Yeroushalmi accepted my case with much understanding and patience. He went above and beyond with the defense lawyers to reach a fair settlement. He explained the complete case process (as I had never filed a case with anyone) Ben kept my sister and I notified of every email or correspondence he had with the opposing council. Gloria

I had a heartfelt and memorable experience with Ben , very genuine and I can tell he loves what he does. His determination shows beautifully and it is amazing. In my opinion it is very rare you find people who love what they're doing and it shows. Not wanting to get religious on an review but, God introduced me to Ben for a reason. Summer

Ben was wonderful. He took our case when no one else was interested or wanted way to much money. We would highly recommend Ben because he really listens and takes your situation into consideration. We settled our case and we were only unhappy with one thing and that was the confidentiality clause but that was not Ben's fault it came with the deal. June
